Northwestern at Michigan Betting Preview. The Big Ten Conference is loaded with great teams this season, and nine teams are currently ranked in the Top 25. Two of these ranked teams are set to square off on Sunday in a Big Ten Conference showdown.

The Northwestern Wildcats come into this game with a 3-1 record in Big Ten play, and they are 6-2 overall. Northwestern was projected to finish in the bottom half of the league, but the Wildcats have been a huge surprise this season.

Michigan currently sits atop the Big Ten standings with a perfect 3-0 conference record. The Wolverines have also yet to lose a game all season long, and they are now the 16th ranked team in the country.

The Michigan Wolverines are 8.5-point favorites at home over Northwestern in this Big Ten Conference showdown.

Northwestern at Michigan – Northwestern Finding Some Offense

The Northwestern Wildcats have been a very low-scoring team over the past decade, but that isn’t the case this season. Northwestern is averaging 83.6 points per game, and they won’t be afraid to play fast against the Wolverines.

Northwestern shares the ball extremely well, and they average nearly 20 assists per game. This team still has some growing up to do, but the results have been tremendous in the early part of the season.

Miller Kopp leads the team with over 14 poitns per game, and he is also shooting nearly 60 percent from the three-point line. The entire team is shooting over 42 percent from deep, and that has helped the Wildcats surprise their opponents.

Guard Boo Buie has arguably been the best player for Northwestern this season, and he has already been named Big Ten Player of the Week once. Buie has pitched in with 12.9 points and 5.6 assists per game, and he will look to exploit the Michigan defense, especially in transition.

Northwestern at Michigan – Michigan Loaded with Weapons

Michigan is outscoring opponents by nearly 14 points per game, and this team is extremely deep. Head coach Juwan Howard has done a great job of recruiting since taking over the job, and this is one of the most talented teams in the league.

Center Hunter Dickinson has been huge for teh Wolverines this season, and he will play a key role in this Big Ten Conference showdown. Dickinson leads the team with 16.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, and he should be able to dominate against a much smaller Northwestern team.

Isaiah Livers is back for Michigan, and he is one of the most talented players in the league. Livers has scored more than 14 points per game, and he will be the player taking all of the big shots late in the game.

The Wolverines have shot just 34 percent from deep this season, and that will need to improve as the season goes along.

Northwestern at Michigan – Wildcats Keep it Close, Wolverines Win

These are two of the biggest surprises in the country this season, and this is a very important game early in the season. Both Michigan and Northwestern have been great on offense so far, and there will be plenty of scoring in this game.

Even though fans won’t be in attendance for this game, but home-court advantage still matters in the Big Ten Conference. Michigan is always tough to beat at home, and that will remain the case on Sunday.

Look for Northwestern to keep this game close throughout, but this time they won’t have enough magic late to overcome Michigan. The Wolverines are going to stay perfect on the season, but they will have to work hard for this win.

Take the 8.5-points and bet on the Northwestern Wildcats in this Big Ten Conference showdown against Michigan.
