Grizzlies at Suns Pick

Grizzlies vs Suns Preview: The last time these two teams on February 20th, the Memphis Grizzlies were short-handed against the Phoenix Suns. This game was a blowout since the very first quarter which led to the stars on both teams playing 26 minutes or less. The Suns were able to set a franchise record in three-pointers made in a game while winning 128-97. Below is our betting preview and betting pick for the Grizzlies at Suns match.

The second-place Phoenix Suns (25-12), have been hot as of late and are a half-game ahead of their division rival, the Los Angeles Lakers; thus holding down the second seed in the Western Conference. The Memphis Grizzlies (17-18) are currently in tenth place and 2 games back of a playoff spot with the trade deadline just a week and a half away. The Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks are desperately looking for help via trade.

The Suns have played very well this season with their two All-Stars Chris Paul and Devin Booker (who couldn’t play in the game due to an injury) have proven to be a force with a solid supporting cast. On the other hand, the Grizzlies have had stretches where they looked like a playoff team and stretches where they looked like sellers.

The Grizzlies are pushing for a playoff spot as they look for a win after splitting their last eight games. It is important to note that this will be their second back to back after taking a tough loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder who outscored them 38-22 in the fourth quarter, ultimately losing 128-122.

The team is averaging 112.1 PPG on 46.6 percent shooting and allowing 111.1 PPG on 47.1 percent shooting from the field. Devin Booker is averaging 25.1 PPG and 4.6 APG while Chris Paul is averaging 15.8 PPG and 8.8 APG to go along with 1.2 steals per game. The two All-Stars have a strong supporting cast who contributed in big ways to get to the position the team is currently in.
