Grizzlies vs Suns Preview and Betting Pick

Grizzlies at Suns Pick

Grizzlies vs Suns Preview: The last time these two teams on February 20th, the Memphis Grizzlies were short-handed against the Phoenix Suns. This game was a blowout since the very first quarter which led to the stars on both teams playing 26 minutes or less. The Suns were able to set a franchise record in three-pointers made in a game while winning 128-97. Below is our betting preview and betting pick for the Grizzlies at Suns match.

The second-place Phoenix Suns (25-12), have been hot as of late and are a half-game ahead of their division rival, the Los Angeles Lakers; thus holding down the second seed in the Western Conference. The Memphis Grizzlies (17-18) are currently in tenth place and 2 games back of a playoff spot with the trade deadline just a week and a half away. The Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks are desperately looking for help via trade.

The Suns have played very well this season with their two All-Stars Chris Paul and Devin Booker (who couldn’t play in the game due to an injury) have proven to be a force with a solid supporting cast. On the other hand, the Grizzlies have had stretches where they looked like a playoff team and stretches where they looked like sellers.

The Grizzlies are pushing for a playoff spot as they look for a win after splitting their last eight games. It is important to note that this will be their second back to back after taking a tough loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder who outscored them 38-22 in the fourth quarter, ultimately losing 128-122.

The team is averaging 112.1 PPG on 46.6 percent shooting and allowing 111.1 PPG on 47.1 percent shooting from the field. They have many players who contribute on a nightly basis as they hope to clinch a playoff spot soon. Ja Morant is their leading scorer who is averaging 19.7 PPG and 7.8 AST while their second-best player Jonas Valanciunas is averaging 16.0 PPG and 11.6 RPG

Dillion Brooks is averaging 15.9 PPG to go along with 1.3 steals per game. Kyle Anderson is 13.0 PPG while pulling down 5.9 RPG and shooting 37.5% from behind the arc.

The Suns are looking to continue their winning ways during the second half of the season as they look for another win after winning eight of their last ten games. The Suns lost to the Indiana Pacers who were able to outscore the Suns by a ton in both the second and third quarter.

The team is averaging 113.9 PPG on 48.7 percent shooting while allowing 107.9 PPG on 46 percent shooting from the field.

Devin Booker is averaging 25.1 PPG and 4.6 APG while Chris Paul is averaging 15.8 PPG and 8.8 APG to go along with 1.2 steals per game. The two All-Stars have a strong supporting cast who contributed in big ways to get to the position the team is currently in.

Deandre Ayton is the third-best scorer who is averaging 14.4 PPG and 11.2 RPG. Mikal Bridges is averaging 13.8 PPG and shooting 42.1 percent from downtown. The Suns currently have seven players who are averaging double digits.

  • Grizzlies are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
  • Grizzlies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as the underdog
  • Grizzlies are 20-15 ATS holding the third-best ATS win percentage in the league
  • Suns are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 home games
  • Suns are 25-12 ATS, which is the best covering percentage in the league
  • Under is 7-1 in Grizzlies last 8 overall
  • Over is 11-4 in Suns last 15 overall
  • Under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings

This may be a large spread against a much healthier Memphis Grizzlies team compared to their last meeting. However, the Suns should get it done with their fast-paced offense.
