One of the biggest games on the Week 11 schedule in the NFL will feature the Indianapolis Colts hosting the Green Bay Packers. Both teams currently sit in first place in their respective divisions, and this could potentially be a Super Bowl preview.
Green Bay comes into Week 11 with a record of 7-2, and the Packers have a legitimate shot of earning the number one seed in the NFC. The Packers have now won two straight games and they are starting to get all of their players healthy and on the field.
Indianapolis brings a 6-3 record into this matchup, and they are tied atop the AFC South standings with the Tennessee Titans. The Colts have won three of their last four games and they are trending in the right direction.
The Colts are 2.5-point favorites over the Packers in this Week 11 showdown.
Rodgers Looking Like League MVP
The NFL MVP race is wide open at this point, but Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers might be the front-runner. Rodgers has thrown for 2,578 yards and 26 touchdowns this season, and he has done most of that damage without some key playmakers on the field.
Wide receiver Davante Adams has spent some time being injured this season, but he is still putting up some huge numbers. Adams leads the team with 61 receptions for 741 yards and he has also caught nine touchdown passes.
The defense of the Packers could still use some work as that unit is allowing nearly 25 points per game. Linebacker Za’Darius Smith is one of the best pass-rushers in the league and he could cause some porblems for the Colts offense on Sunday.
As long as Green Bay’s defense can keep this game close then Aaron Rodgers and that offense can take care of the rest.
Can Colts Defense Stop Packers?
The Indianapolis Colts are one of the best defenses in the NFL, but they will be tested in this game. Indy is allowing just 19.7 points per game, and that unit shut down an explosive Tennessee Titans offense in Week 10.
If the Colts defense isn’t up to the challenge against the Packers then it will be quarterback Philip Rivers that tries to lead this offense to victory. Rivers has thrown for nearly 2,400 yards through the first 10 games, but he does make some questionable decisions with the football at times.
The running game for the Colts has really struggled since starting running back Marlon Mack went down with an injury. Indianapolis is averaging just 106 rushing yards per game, and they will need to do much better than that on Sunday.
Indianapolis wants to win this game on the strength of their defense, but the passing attack could do the job as well.
Green Bay Gets Huge Road Win
The Indianapolis Colts are having another nice season, and they continue to be one of the most underrated teams in the National Football League. The Colts are 2.5-point favorites in this game for a reason, but that actually might be giving them too much credit.
The Green Bay Packers look like legitimate Super Bowl contenders this season, and Aaron Rodgers is playing at another level. Rodgers loves the challenge of facing a top defense and he will put up some monster numbers in this game.
This game should be tight, but it’s hard to see the Colts scoring enough points to stay in this one. Rodgers will find a way to exploit the Colts defense and the Packers are winning on Sunday.
Ignore the points and take the Green Bay Packers over the Indianapolis Colts outright on Sunday.
