St. Louis Blues at Las Vegas Golden Knights Preview & Pick

Blues at Golden Knights Pick & Preview
  • Golden Knights currently with 15-9 Record
  • Blues led by Vladamir Tarasenko
  • See below for our free Blues at Golden Knights pick

The Golden Knights are currently leading the western division with a record of 36-13 and have a very comfortable, unrelenting lead on the Blues. The Golden Knights have 74 points on the season and the Blues have 55 so there is no fear of the Blues catching them in the standings. The team leader in points Mark Stone with 59, has made his case for the Calder trophy but it doesn’t seem he will be a frontrunner for the award as long as Connor McDavid is still in the league.

The Blues have had a late season push to maybe solidify themselves as the fourth and final representer of the western division in the playoffs. With a record of 24-19 all they have to do is win a couple more games or even force overtime in a couple to get just a tiny bit more space between them and the Arizona Coyotes. The Coyotes are only 5 points behind the Blues but wins in 5 of their last 6 games have helped the Blues increase their lead.

Las Vegas Golden Knights Betting Preview

The Golden Knights have had the best first couple of seasons an expansion team has ever had. They have made the playoffs in every season since becoming a franchise and they will be in the mix for Lord Stanley’s Cup once again.

With goalie problems of their own early in the season it looked like the offense led by Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone wouldn’t be able to withstand it but here they are. With solid goaltending from Robin Lehner and Marc-Andre Fleury the Knights are in position to make a deep playoff run with those two playing the way they are.

The Knights are the best home hockey team this season with an overall record of 19-4 this season. They’ve also been a decent home team against the spread this season too, with a record of 12-14. Their over/under home numbers are also really solid with their home over/under record currently standing at 15-9. The Golden Knights have a 4-2 series lead over the Blues with this game and one more to go scheduled between the two teams.

St. Louis Blues Betting Preview

The Blues have not had the success they had hoped for this season and that is mostly because of the wildly inconsistent play from goaltender Jordan Binnington. Binnington has a .90 save percentage to go along with a 16-12 record with a 2.7 goals against average. In the season they won the Stanley Cup Binnington had a .91 save % with a 30-13 record and 2.4 goals against average.

Veteran Forward Vladamir Tarasenko has not been the same player since returning from injury. He was once the most consistent point scorer in the NHL but after his shoulder injury that had kept him out for just over five months he has declined significantly only having nine points since returning in early March.

The Blues are a better road team than they are a home one this season, with a home record of 10-11 and an away record of 14-8. However they are not friendly to against the spread bettors as they are 20-29 ATS on the season. The Golden Knights have had their number all year let’s see if they can win one more game.

St. Louis and Las Vegas Betting Odds
